A very light dress for those hot summer days.
Elasticated smock on front and back with a stitched on crochet flower on strap. Fully gathered all round.
These garments have been produced using the 'batik' technique of wax resist dying.
The wax is applied onto the cloth using stamps in the desired patterns. The cloth is then hand dyed and boiled to remove the wax, forming the pattern in negative.
This hand printing and dyeing results in small irregularities in print and colour giving these garments a unique look.
Other technique used include hand embroideries and crochet.
